I’m Verity. I joined the Hub in January 2026 following 16 years working across Health and Justice settings. I have recently moved into a divisional role as Deputy Director of Nursing, where I provide nursing oversight across services including Health and Justice, Sexual Health, and Addictions. I bring a strong understanding of both the challenges and strengths within these services.
Throughout my career in Health and Justice, I have worked in a range of clinical and operational roles, most recently as Head of Healthcare. Across these roles, and continuing in my current position, I have developed a strong commitment to learning from patient safety incidents and to fostering a supportive learning culture. I have experience of attending inquests and have seen first-hand the impact on staff, service users, and families. As a result, I am particularly focused on ensuring effective learning and meaningful change following incidents, to help reduce preventable harm going forward.
